Tense Situation in the National Assembly: Following Ghazaryan's Speech, the CP Returned to the Chamber to Resolve Issues

A tense situation has developed in the National Assembly after the speech of Edgar Ghazaryan, a member of the 'Strong Armenia' faction. Ghazaryan accused the members of the 'Civil Contract' (CP) of exploiting the topic of soldiers in a 'thuggish manner.'

Following the speech, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hayk Konjoryan, warned Ghazaryan for inappropriate behavior. He stated, 'This is a warning for inappropriate behavior. After such conduct, if you do not self-regulate, you will be thrown out of this chamber.'

Konjoryan added, 'Moderate yourself, or else measures will be taken that will exceed all boundaries.'

After this, the members of the CP faction left the session hall. Also exiting was the President of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan. Journalists noted their argument, but the dispute did not escalate to physical confrontation.

Later, Marianne Ghahramanyan, a representative of the 'Strong Armenia' party, directed reporters to address their questions regarding the dispute to Sisak Gabrielyan.

Upon returning to the session hall, Ruben Rubinyan addressed the 'Strong Armenia' party, saying, 'Dear 'Strong Armenia' party, we have been very patient. This is the second time within ten days that the limits of politeness have been violated by your party.'

Narek Karapetyan announced that there would be a meeting within the faction. Rubinyan also urged that Edgar Ghazaryan apologize.
