World-renowned economist Nassim Taleb rejects offer to visit Azerbaijan while Ruben Vardanyan is in prison

World-renowned economist, author, and the writer of the book "The Black Swan," Nassim Taleb has announced that he has declined an offer to lecture in Azerbaijan. Taleb wrote on his X page that he initially turned down the offer, and when the organizers significantly raised the proposed honorarium, it still did not change his decision.

"I was asked to go to Azerbaijan for a lecture. I refused. They significantly raised their offer, not understanding my ethics, thinking it would make a difference. I will not set foot in Azerbaijan as long as Ruben Vardanyan is in prison there," Taleb wrote.
