Armenian Foreign Ministry Responds to US Ambassador’s Statement in Baku
There is no official cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the management of cross-border water resources. This was stated by the Armenian Foreign Ministry in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia, commenting on the recent remarks made by the US ambassador in Baku.
"Communication on this topic has only occurred at the level of public organizations from both countries," the ministry noted.
It is worth recalling that the US ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mark Libby, recently announced the joint work of hydrologists and engineers from Azerbaijan and Armenia towards creating an integrated management scheme for the water resources of the region's border rivers. According to him, this work is supported by the United States.
