Hovik Aghazaryan on Pashinyan's Request
Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, has made a decision regarding whether or not to resign from his mandate. In an interview with Tert.am, he responded to a question about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement yesterday that he had asked Aghazaryan to resign. Aghazaryan stated, “I have made a decision, but I will announce it on Monday at 18:00.”
It is worth noting that during a broadcast on Public Television yesterday, Pashinyan mentioned that he had requested the mandates of Assembly members Narek Zeynalanyan and Hovik Aghazaryan to be relinquished. Narek Zeynalanyan has already submitted a request to resign from his mandate.
Pashinyan added, “I hope that my request does not go unanswered. The issue here is not personal. It is systemic, and we need to revise our perceptions, attitudes, and approaches towards our state and its institutions.”
