On September 12, investigators from the Yerevan investigative division of the RA Investigative Committee submitted a request to the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Criminal Court's Shengavit sitting, seeking a two-month imprisonment decision as a preventive measure against the organizers and executors of a high-profile abduction that occurred days earlier in Yerevan, as reported by shamshyan.com.
Judge Artur Gabrielian approved the request, resulting in the imprisonment of 37-year-old Vache Israelian, a resident of Yerevan; 49-year-old Arkadi Papyan from Tavush Province; 41-year-old Artyom Muradyan, also from Yerevan; and 42-year-old Artsrun Ohanyan from Kotayk Province. They were handcuffed and transferred to the relevant establishment of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service.
