Hundreds of Displaced Residents, Including Pregnant Women: Deputy Minister on Disaster Aftermath
Currently, there are 425 displaced residents, including two pregnant women. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kamo Tsutsulyan during a conversation with reporters.
“The majority of the residents are staying with their relatives and have declined our assistance. We have established a cableway to the village of Sanahin, so that if necessary, we can evacuate the residents,” Tsutsulyan said. “Yesterday we provided food, and if necessary, we will also supply food via the cableway today,” he added.
According to the Deputy Minister, there is no danger at the moment, as the water level has decreased by about 105 cm.
