Bishop Bagrat Comments on Hovik Aghazaryan's Statement About Paid Participation in Rallies
I urge the Prosecutor's Office and the NSS to investigate those statements and initiate legal proceedings. This was stated today, on May 13, during a conversation with reporters by Bishop Bagrat, the leader of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement and head of the Tavush Diocese, addressing claims that attendees of his organized gatherings mainly participate for money.
"These are crimes. If the Prosecutor's Office and the NSS have evidence, let them open a case. They need to follow up on these statements. If they don’t, then those agencies are not functioning," stated Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
It is noteworthy that earlier, MP Hovik Aghazaryan from the ruling party stated that 70 percent of the participants in the rallies are participating for money.
