Hamas Wanted War, It Will Get It: Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has addressed the nation, promising to bring the war against Hamas militants to a victorious conclusion. According to the leader of the government, Israel is currently in a state of war for its existence.
“This war has been imposed on us by the animals that glorify the killing of women, children, and the elderly,” Netanyahu said, comparing Hamas's atrocities to those committed by ISIS. “Children were tied up and executed alongside their family members, young girls and boys were shot in the back. We always knew what Hamas was. Now the entire world knows: Hamas is ISIS. And we will win just as the enlightened world defeated ISIS. Hamas wanted war; it will get it,” Netanyahu stated.
He noted that there are still several terrorists within Israeli territory. “I have instructed our forces to attack Hamas in ways we have not attacked them before. And that is happening right now. We have only just begun our war against Hamas. What you are now seeing in Gaza is just the beginning. We have killed hundreds of terrorists and we will not stop. We will find them in any hole. This is happening and will continue,” he added.
Netanyahu further mentioned that he has invited opposition leaders to join a national unity government without any preconditions, just as Israeli political figures did 50 years ago during the Yom Kippur War.
