Red Cross Discusses Resuming Patient Transfers Via Lachin Corridor with Parties, Says Eteri Musayelean
Since the installation of a checkpoint by Azerbaijan on the Lachin corridor on April 23, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has transferred patients from Artsakh to Armenia only three times. Eteri Musayelean, the public relations officer of the ICRC in Artsakh, shared this information in an interview with Artsakhpress.
“The Committee is currently engaging in discussions with all parties involved to resume the process of transferring patients via the Lachin corridor and to address other humanitarian issues,” said Ms. Musayelean.
She added that from December 19, 2022, to April 29 of the current year, a total of 394 patients have been transferred to healthcare facilities in the Republic of Armenia under the mediation and escort of the Red Cross.
