Stabbing in Yerevan: Victim Claims Injury Sustained While Running with Skewer
Today, on May 29, a stabbing incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 1:25 AM, the police department of Nor-Nork received a report from the Number 1 University Hospital that a citizen had been admitted with an "abdominal wall injury" diagnosis.
According to shamshyan.com, operational teams from the Nor-Nork and Avan police departments rushed to the hospital. While doctors fought for the victim's life, the police from Nor-Nork and Avan discovered that the victim was a 28-year-old resident of Yerevan, Rustam B., who reported that he sustained the injury while running on Khudyakov Street, holding a skewer for barbecue and fell.
However, sources indicate that officers from the Avan police department's criminal investigation division determined that Rustam B.'s account did not match reality. They quickly established that on the same day, around 00:40, a dispute had occurred between him and a 23-year-old resident of Syunik Province, Yuri B., during which the latter stabbed Rustam B. in the abdominal area with a knife.
Hours later, police discovered the suspect, Yuri B., on Gayi Avenue and took him into custody at the Avan police department. An 8 cm long knife was also found in his possession, raising suspicions that it was the weapon used in the crime.
