Body of 29-Year-Old Man Found Near 'Hidden Waterfall' After Falling into River
On May 28 at 16:23, the Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a citizen had fallen into the river from a height of about 5 meters in the area known as 'Hidden Waterfall' in the village of Haghartsin. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
A rescue team from the regional firefighting department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the citizen had managed to get out of the river independently but could not find his friend and suspected that the latter had also fallen into the water.
Rescue workers, along with police officers, conducted search operations along the riverbank (approximately 10 km) and in the surrounding areas. Due to darkness and challenging terrain, the search efforts were suspended.
At 06:00, a firefighting team was sent back to the scene to resume the search operations. At 07:20, the rescuers discovered the body of V.B.S. (born in 1993) in the river.
