Georgia Returns Tons of Frozen Chicken Meat to Turkey
Georgia's customs officials have prevented the import of more than 20.2 tons of frozen chicken meat from Turkey. According to Jnews.ge, this information was reported by the Revenue Service of the Georgian Ministry of Finance.
During border control at the 'Sarpi' customs checkpoint, employees of the phytosanitary and veterinary border control discovered violations.
During the verification of the cargo's documentation, it was revealed that the information indicated on the product packaging labels did not match the producer's data. For this reason, the aforementioned cargo could not pass the identification check.
According to a decision by the Georgian government, the specified cargo is subject to return to the exporting country.
