Defense Ministry Provides Update on Injured Soldiers from Jambarak Incident
Three soldiers who were injured in the recent incident in Jambarak have been examined and do not require any medical intervention. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The lives of the other three soldiers are also not in danger. They continue to be under the care of doctors in a military hospital.
It is worth recalling that on August 19 at around 21:00, a vehicle of the "GAZ-53" brand struck several soldiers on the road leading to the city of Jambarak under circumstances that are yet to be clarified. As a result of the incident, soldier Suren Mambrayan Vardanyan lost his life.
An investigation is underway to clarify all circumstances of the incident. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the first and fourth parts of Article 342 of the Criminal Code (violating requirements aimed at ensuring road traffic safety or rules ensuring the safety of road traffic or the operation of vehicles).
