American Negotiators' Visit to Russia is Not a Friendly Visit from Kaluga to Moscow: Ushakov
American negotiators Steven Mnuchin and Jared Kushner's visit to Russia requires preparation, stated Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the President of Russia.
“There are so many questions regarding this trip, it’s as if we’re talking about a visit from friends from Kaluga to Moscow, do you understand? This is a serious international meeting that requires preparation and coordination,” said Ushakov in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a correspondent for the Vesti information service.
The Kremlin's representative noted that they would announce the specifics of the visit by U.S. representatives when it becomes clear.
Earlier, former assistant to U.S. President George W. Bush, Thomas Graham, called on American authorities to return to “track-one diplomacy” with Russia regarding the Ukraine conflict.
