269 Violations of Cash Register Rules in One Month: The State Revenue Committee Imposes 86.7 Million AMD in Fines
The State Revenue Committee recorded 269 violations of cash register usage rules during inspections of taxpayers conducted in July 2026. According to the Committee's data, the total amount of fines imposed for these violations reached 86.7 million AMD.
The highest number of violations was observed in grocery stores, with 41 cases, leading to fines totaling approximately 16.9 million AMD. In the fruit and vegetable trading sector, 30 violations were recorded with fines amounting to 7.3 million AMD, while the public catering sector saw 27 violations totaling around 7.6 million AMD.
Moreover, there were 18 violations in the bread and bakery sector leading to fines of 5 million AMD, and 16 violations in the automotive service industry with fines of approximately 3.5 million AMD. The meat trading sector reported 15 violations with fines of 4.1 million AMD. In the furniture retail sector, there were 12 violations resulting in fines of 2.5 million AMD, and similarly, 12 violations in the clothing, footwear, and textiles sector with fines of about 2.7 million AMD. The pharmaceutical and medical supplies sector recorded 8 violations with fines totaling 3.5 million AMD. Other sectors accounted for an additional 90 violations, incurring around 33.6 million AMD in fines.
In addition to these violations, the Committee reported 63 instances of unregistered employees in July, representing a total of 193 unregistered workers, with fines amounting to approximately 48.3 million AMD. In the construction sector, there were 14 such violations involving 35 workers, leading to fines of roughly 8.8 million AMD. The public catering industry reported 9 violations involving 38 unregistered employees, resulting in fines of 9.5 million AMD. Other sectors saw 40 violations with 120 unregistered workers, leading to 30 million AMD in fines.
Additionally, 23 violations regarding cashless transactions were recorded, for which taxpayers faced a total of 9.5 million AMD in fines. The dental sector reported 4 violations amounting to 1.8 million AMD in fines, while the healthcare industry reported 3 violations totaling 1.3 million AMD in fines, and other sectors faced 16 violations resulting in 6.4 million AMD in fines.
The State Revenue Committee emphasizes that the presented data does not take into account any potential administrative or legal disputes regarding inspection reports. The Committee urges taxpayers to adhere to tax legislation requirements and maintain tax discipline.
