Barcelona–Yerevan Flight Delayed by More Than 12 Hours Due to Aircraft Damage

The flight from Barcelona to Yerevan scheduled for August 17 arrived in Yerevan with a delay of more than 12 hours. One of the passengers informed Sputnik Armenia that the aircraft of the airline "FlyOne Armenia" was caught under a thunderstorm and hail, resulting in cracks on the windshield and damage to the front of the aircraft.

“We were informed that flying with this aircraft was highly dangerous; it needed repairs, which would take a long time. We had to wait for more than 6 hours until a new aircraft arrived from Yerevan to Barcelona, which we then took back to our homeland,” said the passenger.

It is worth noting that the flight was supposed to take off at 20:35 Barcelona time and was expected to arrive in Yerevan at 03:15 Yerevan time.

The Civil Aviation Committee also stated that the reason for the delay was a technical issue. The Barcelona–Yerevan flight 3F 232 has recently landed successfully at "Zvartnots" international airport.
