Most Demanded Universities in Armenia Announced

Yerevan State University has become the most demanded university among applicants for the 2026 academic year. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Araksia Svajyan, during the August consultations where the attractiveness ratings of universities were presented.

The Armenian State University of Economics ranks second in the number of applications, while the National Polytechnic University of Armenia comes in third. This year, 9,620 applicants were admitted to Armenian universities.

For the 2026 admissions, the government allocated 12,720 places for universities, of which 2,133 were designated for free education and 10,587 for paid tuition. Among the 9,620 admitted applicants, 1,875, including those in reserve and targeted places, were accepted on a free basis, while 7,799 were admitted through paid programs.
