First Graders Will Not Attend School on Saturday: Details
Due to the upcoming 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Armenia this autumn, classes will not be held in Yerevan for one week during the event. As a result, students will be on a two-week break from October 19-30.
This change does not apply to first graders, as their autumn two-week break was originally outlined in the academic calendar. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
It is worth reminding that earlier it was reported that starting from September 15, educational institutions in the capital would operate on a six-day work schedule for five weeks.
