Giant Dead Tree Uprooted on Alek Manukyan Street Falls on Car
This evening, on August 5, around 8:00 PM, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that a decayed tree had fallen on a "Mazda" car on Alek Manukyan Street, along the road from Radiotn to the Yerevan State University. This was reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan.
Rescuers, without waiting for the staff of Yerevan Municipality’s Greenery and Environmental Protection SNCO, worked together with the vehicle owner, a 39-year-old resident of Yerevan named S. P., to cut up the tree and remove it.
Documents are being prepared at the Central Police Department regarding the incident. However, it seems that the question of who will compensate the citizen for the damages remains unanswered. Whether the Yerevan Municipality or the staff of the Central Administrative District leader will provide compensation appears to be a question of goodwill, as noted by Gagik Shamshyan.
