Farmers Block the Armavir-Yerevan Road Demanding Solutions for Tomato Purchasing Issues

On July 31, citizens blocked the Armavir-Yerevan highway at the Aknalich section. According to MediaHub, the reason for the roadblock is related to problems with the purchasing of tomatoes.

The administration office of Aknalich stated that farmers do not yet have contracts with processing companies, while the harvest is already ripe, and it is necessary to start the harvesting process.

The farmers are concerned that they will not be able to sell their produce and are demanding clear solutions and state support, warning that otherwise, their entire year's work may be jeopardized.

The Deputy Governor of Armavir was also present on site, meeting with the citizens, listening to their issues, and discussing possible solutions. However, it is still unclear what decisions will be made and what steps will be taken to support the farmers.
