Video: The Ministry of Internal Affairs Details the Stabbing of a Bus Driver
On April 20, at 22:23, the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call reporting that a bus driver had been stabbed on Halabyan Street and the assailant had fled.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there was also a report from the hospital when an ambulance team transported the 44-year-old driver, who serves route number 8, with stab wounds.
“Community police officers from the Mashtots department who arrived at the scene established that an unknown individual had argued with the bus driver, during which he was struck with a sharp cutting and stabbing object. Preliminary information suggests that the man was in an intoxicated state,” the report states.
On April 22, at 16:40, as a result of operational-search measures conducted by the community police in the Mashtots department, a 55-year-old man without a permanent residence was discovered and arrested on suspicion of hooliganism and causing bodily harm. He has been presented to the prosecuting authority. An investigation is underway,” the report concludes.
It is noteworthy that we previously reported that another bus driver had been subjected to violence.
