Iranian Authorities Address the Nation and Announce Victory
The Supreme National Security Council of Iran announced on April 8 that the country, in its assessment, has approached the realization of its primary military objectives in the conflict and is preparing for a phase of political negotiations.
The statement highlights that the confrontation has continued for 40 days, during which Iran has rejected both calls for a ceasefire from the adversary and ultimatums presented by the U.S. President.
According to the official Tehran, the negotiations are expected to take place in Islamabad to coordinate the details of further political arrangements. The Iranian side claims to have developed a 10-point proposal package, which has been conveyed to the American side through Pakistan.
The proposal reportedly includes issues such as the controlled passage in the Strait of Hormuz, the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region, the lifting of sanctions imposed on Iran, the unfreezing of assets, and the provision of compensations.
The announcement also mentions that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has conveyed to Tehran that the American side is ready to accept these principles as a basis for negotiations. At the same time, it is emphasized that this is not yet a declaration of the end of war, and the cessation of hostilities is only possible if all proposed points are firmly established in political agreements.
Iranian authorities have stated that negotiations are set to begin on Friday, April 10, and may last up to 15 days, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement of the parties. Tehran has also declared that it will continue to maintain military readiness and will respond immediately to any actions.
No independent confirmation has been provided at the time of the announcement regarding the stated claims.
