One Cannot Hide Under the Black Cloak and Think They Can Do Anything: Allen Simonian
In an interview with the 'Dozhd' television channel, Armenia's National Assembly President Allen Simonian responded to questions regarding the confrontation with the Armenian Apostolic Church.
“If it turns out that a high-ranking person in the church in any country is a pedophile, and the law enforcement agencies react or a political figure criticizes pedophilia, will that be considered an attack on the church? One cannot hide under that black cloak and think they can do anything, and when they're pursued, act as if it’s an attack on the church,” said Simonian.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, Armenia's Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings against Garegin II and prohibited him from leaving the country.
