I Gave Him a Second Chance: Islam Makhachev on the Scrapped Rematch with Arman Tsarukyan
The current UFC champion in the lightweight division, Russian fighter Islam Makhachev, has spoken about the scrapped rematch with Arman Tsarukyan.
"I do not regret that the fight with Arman Tsarukyan did not take place. I had already defeated him; I gave him a second chance. I am satisfied with my career in the lightweight division," Makhachev was quoted by Match TV.
It should be noted that Arman Tsarukyan was unable to fight Islam Makhachev due to a herniated disc in his lower back.
