Weightlifter Arsen Martirosyan Exempted from Mandatory Military Service
The government, in its meeting today, June 27, decided to exempt Arsen Martirosyan, a member of the national weightlifting team, from mandatory military service.
The justification for the decision states that Arsen Gevorgi Martirosyan, a multiple medalist of the European Championships and a Master of Sports of International Class, has been granted a deferment from military service until the summer draft of 2024. After the deferment was granted, he achieved new successes, including becoming the bronze medalist at the 2022 European Weightlifting Championships.
Now, the necessity has arisen to exempt Arsen Martirosyan from mandatory military service.
