Major Accident in Gegharkunik: 'Ford Transit' Overturned, 'Tesla' in Ravine; 11 Injured

On August 26, a major traffic accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

Around 5:00 PM, a 'Tesla' and a passenger 'Ford Transit' collided on the 27th km of the Tsovaghu-Shorzha-Vardenis highway. As a result of the accident, preliminary reports indicate that 11 people were transported to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries. Some of the injured were taken to hospitals in Chambarak, while others were sent to the medical center in Sevan.

Civilians were the first to provide assistance to the wounded, followed by rescuers who arrived at the scene. Some of the injured were transported to hospitals by the police.

The 'Ford Transit' was carrying residents from Shirak province who had arrived for a vacation. Due to the collision, the vehicle overturned, while the 'Tesla' veered off the road and ended up in a ravine.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the accident. Law enforcement agencies are working to identify the drivers, owners, and injured parties.
