Defense Ministry Urges Against Targeting Armed Forces Leadership
Several media outlets, coordinated by certain circles, and individuals who have never been involved in the defense of the homeland have made organized allegations and defamatory statements regarding representatives of the Armed Forces leadership receiving the rank of Major General on May 24. This statement was released by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
“The Defense Ministry strongly urges to refrain from targeting the Armed Forces leadership, from unnecessary and baseless speculations, and from defamatory publications regarding officers who have devoted decades of unwavering service to the homeland. The Defense Ministry will make all such publications the subject of investigation and will take all necessary legal measures to protect the honor and dignity of the officers unjustly targeted,” the statement said.
