Petition in Kiran: Statement Issued on Behalf of 31 Individuals

A petition has been launched in Kiran, with a statement issued on behalf of 31 individuals. This information was reported by the National Front Telegram channel. They, along with their families, are refusing to accept compensations.

The Prime Minister's Office of Armenia stated that as a result of this situation, Azerbaijan is gaining 2.5 villages, while the Republic of Armenia is seeing a reduction in security risks. Following the demarcation, the armed forces will withdraw from the areas of four villages and allow border guards to take their place.

It should be noted that the commissions for the delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border agreed to start the demarcation from the Tavush region on April 19. It was announced that the descriptions of the border sections would be compiled considering the clarifications of coordinates gained from geodetic measurements in the area, which is expected to be completed by May 15, 2024.
