Peaceful Civil Disobedience Protests in Yerevan; Police Detain Participants
Under the call of Bishop Bagrat, peaceful civil disobedience protests have begun in Yerevan and various regions today. Citizens blocked the Victory Bridge. Simultaneously, the Tbilisi Highway was also closed at the intersection near the 'Dream' park, as well as the area in front of the 'Sasuntsi David' station and in Nor Nork in front of the statue of Gay. Freedom Square was also blocked.
Citizens spontaneously held a peaceful civil disobedience action on Khorenatsi Street.
Police have used brute force to detain citizens participating in the peaceful civil disobedience protest on Gay Avenue. It is noteworthy that during the rally that began on May 10 at Republic Square, the leader of the 'Tavush for the Homeland' movement, Bishop Bagrat, announced that there would be peaceful civil disobedience protests in ten locations across Armenia, including Yerevan and other regions.
