Earthquake in the USA Interrupts UN Security Council Meeting
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 has occurred near New York City, USA. This information was reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
According to seismologists, the earthquake struck 46 kilometers northwest of Edison, New Jersey, a city with approximately 102,000 residents, at 14:23 UTC (18:23 Yerevan time). The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers. There have been no reports of casualties or damage thus far.
The earthquake disrupted a meeting of the UN Security Council in New York City.
