Shots Fired on Iran-Azerbaijan Border

Shots have been fired on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. Azerbaijani news outlets report that two men attempted to cross into Azerbaijan from Iran. Border guards used firearms against the individuals who did not obey the stop command.

One man was wounded, while the other escaped back into Iran, taking advantage of the difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions. During the search of the area, more than 10 kilograms of narcotics were discovered, leading to the arrest of two residents from Azerbaijan who had come to the location.
