Russian Deputy Foreign Minister on the Railway from Azerbaijan through Syunik to Nakhchivan
In the framework of a trilateral working group chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, there is a general understanding on how to restore railway communication in the South Caucasus. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin in an interview with Rossiya 24 television channel.
"Specifically, we are talking about the railway from Azerbaijan through Armenia's Syunik region to Nakhchivan. As for the delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russia is offering advisory services to Baku and Yerevan, as only Moscow possesses the necessary exclusive geographical materials," Galuzin said.
