Director of 'Play City' Arrested for One Month
The director of 'Play City', Arshaluyse Arakelyan, has been arrested for one month. This was reported to 'Hraparak' by lawyer Hrant Ananyan.
Commenting on the criminal case, Ananyan stated, 'He was arrested allegedly for tax evasion, but my client has tried in every way to assist the investigation; the computers were seized, and he has expressed willingness to assist in analyzing the contents of the computers.'
'However, due to arbitrary and distorted interpretations of some files from the computers, a hypothesis was formed that he is evading taxes. They only partially examined 2 out of 10 computers and did not check the rest, even though we said, 'Come and check the main computer to help us,' that is, we have made every effort to assist in the investigation.'
When asked whether the choice of arrest as a preventive measure was justified, the lawyer noted, 'There were definitely other measures that could have been applied; he is a 63-year-old man with various health issues, and his wife is in poor health with numerous oncological conditions. I believe that this case was undoubtedly not legal.'
Ananyan added that they have not yet received the court's decision, and after receiving it, they will appeal.
