Baku Criticizes the Netherlands for Supporting Displaced Artsakh Residents
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has criticized the statements made by the government of the Netherlands regarding support for displaced residents of Artsakh. It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of the Netherlands had previously announced assistance to Armenia.
“Through the Global Fund for Discounted Financing, the Netherlands supports middle-income countries that host a large number of refugees but are typically not eligible for discounted financing from development banks. Armenia is among these countries, having accepted more than 100,000 residents from Nagorno-Karabakh since September,” the statement said.
Baku has urged the Dutch side to cease such statements, which allegedly hinder the further development and progress of the region.
