Russia Ready to Continue Peace Talks on Ukraine Issue: Peskov
Russia continues to express its willingness to participate in peaceful negotiations regarding the resolution of the Ukraine conflict. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
"Of course, we remain open to continuing peace talks," Peskov said.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Kirill Budanov, announced that Kyiv wishes to try to revive the negotiation process for resolving the conflict.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously stated that Moscow is prepared for peace negotiations with Ukraine, considering the agreements reached in Istanbul in 2022 as a basis.
In 2025, Russia and Ukraine held three rounds of direct negotiations in Istanbul. As a result, the parties carried out prisoner exchanges and shared draft memorandums regarding conflict resolution.
