The suspended pastor of Talin, Aramais Takhmazyan, known as Father Taden, and his wife are set to be evicted from a residence belonging to the Armenian Apostolic Church in Talin following a court decision. This has been reported by Hetq.am.

The apartment had been provided to Father Taden for free living arrangements, where he resides with his wife and children. The Mother See had requested the couple to vacate the premises by January 25, as per a demand made on January 9, 2026. However, since the request was not fulfilled, the matter was moved to court.

In court, Father Taden stated that the apartment had been assigned to him verbally after he was appointed as the pastor of Talin, without any written agreement specifying the rental period. His wife also noted that the family has lived there for over 10 years and has made renovations at their own expense.

According to Hetq.am, however, the court found that the couple holds no property rights over the apartment, and there exists no written agreement or legal basis for its usage. The court of general jurisdiction of the Aragatsotn region accepted the Mother See’s petition, ordering Father Taden and his wife to be evicted from the residence and return it to the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The decision was made on August 26 and may be appealed to the Court of Appeal within one month.
