Fake messages sent via iMessage in the name of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Road Police of Armenia have re-emerged. This was reported by the Cyber Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The messages are primarily sent from foreign phone numbers and contain fake links resembling those of official government websites. Through these messages, criminals attempt to obtain citizens' personal and banking information for the purpose of stealing money.

The Cyber Police urges individuals not to open links found in such messages, not to provide personal or banking information, and to block the sender's number. If a citizen has already provided banking details, it is essential to immediately contact the bank and report it to the police.

“The presence of a message received in the name of governmental bodies does not necessarily mean that it is official,” warns the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
