Fire on the Roof of a Building in Yerevan, Residents Evacuated
Today at 12:42 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a fire that broke out on the roof of a residential building located on Chekhov Street in Yerevan. This information was provided by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
"Two firefighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department, as well as operational groups from the National Crisis Management Center and firefighting and rescue operations organization departments, along with one fire truck, were dispatched to the scene," the report stated.
A fire complexity level of "1 BIS" was declared, and two additional firefighting teams were sent to the location from the Yerevan Rescue Department.
The fire was contained by 1:22 PM and completely extinguished by 1:40 PM. Household items and garbage were burning on the roof. A total of 23 residents were evacuated.
