Azerbaijani Media Attempts to Portray Citizen Relocation as Military Evacuation
In recent days, certain Azerbaijani media outlets have been trying to depict the relocation of a group of citizens by the Russian peacekeeping forces to the Republic of Armenia as an evacuation of military personnel. This was reported by the informational headquarters of Artsakh.
“We find it necessary to clarify that there are no military personnel who are citizens of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Artsakh, as officially stated multiple times by Stepanakert and Yerevan. Those transferred from Artsakh by Russian peacekeepers are students of Armenian and foreign higher educational institutions, citizens of the Russian Federation and their family members, as well as specialists and workers who are citizens of the Republic of Armenia employed in construction and mining sectors, who have lost their jobs due to the blockade imposed by Azerbaijan and cannot return to their permanent residence,” the statement said.
