“Both Armenia and Azerbaijan Are Important to Us”: Iran’s Defense Minister
The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is quite clear. The recent meeting of the General Staff of the Armed Forces clearly expressed our positions regarding this issue. This was stated by Amir Mohammadreza Ashtiani, the Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“We do not accept any changes in the geopolitical landscape of the region, and this is clear to everyone. The process we are analyzing shows that nothing significant will happen in the region. We have close relations with both the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, and both countries are important to us. We will continue our cooperation with both countries,” he noted.
