Vazgen Tevanyan Becomes European Champion

In the 65 kg weight category, Vazgen Tevanyan, a member of the national freestyle wrestling team, has been declared the European champion. In the final, our wrestler defeated Bulgarian Mikya Salim Naiym with a score of 12-1.

The championship is taking place in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Tevanyan began his fight from the Round of 16, where he won against Israel’s Joshua Stuart Finley with a score of 10-0. In the quarter-finals, Tevanyan achieved a 4-1 victory over an Azerbaijani wrestler, and in the semi-finals, he triumphed with a score of 12-4 against Armenian descent wrestler Eric Arushanyan, representing Ukraine.
