Ukrainian Ambassador Summoned by Turkey's Foreign Ministry
The Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey, Nariman Celali, has been summoned by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the targeting of two Turkish vessels by Ukrainian forces in the Black Sea, according to a source in Turkey's Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday.
"The ambassador was summoned in response to the strikes on the Turkish-owned Lider Bordeaux Mavi ship near Tuapse on August 26 and the attack on the Lider Cojatepe vessel which was assisting the first ship on August 27. The ambassador was informed about our country’s reaction to these attacks and was warned of the necessity to ensure the safety of people, property, navigation, and the environment in the Black Sea," the source told the IHA agency.
Erkut Celebi, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkey's Trabzon province, announced on Thursday that Ukrainian drones had targeted the Turkish cargo ship Lider Bordeaux Mavi located at the Russian Tuapse port, resulting in injuries to five crew members.
