Armenia Has a Historic Opportunity Today: Ararat Mirzoyan
The work of the annual meeting of the leadership of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the heads of diplomatic missions abroad continues.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the message of this year's ambassadorial conference, stating that the Republic of Armenia, including the diplomatic service, is entering a new phase. He noted that while the main message of the discussion held on August 8 of last year was the importance of continuous strengthening of established peace, today peace is already a reality.
In the context of current realities, Mirzoyan highlighted that both the challenges and opportunities are different, and that the diplomatic service has a crucial role to play in addressing them and maximizing their realization, thereby fulfilling the new task received from the people of Armenia, which is to consistently strengthen the independence and resilience of the Republic of Armenia.
The minister also referred to the severe challenges faced over the past five years and the collaborative work done to overcome them.
Addressing the new perspectives for effective integration into the development and regional interconnection network of Armenia, Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia has a historic opportunity today, and the government is making persistent efforts to achieve significant results in this direction.
Mirzoyan responded to questions from the heads of diplomatic service bodies.
Issues concerning the regulation and development of relations with neighbors as well as the deepening of partnerships with a wide geographical scope and the diversification of ties were discussed, emphasizing the complete realization of the economic component as well.
Steps towards the continuous institutionalization of peace were also addressed. Ideas were exchanged on new priorities regarding international and regional developments, as well as Armenia's engagement in multilateral platforms.
