Rheinmetall in Talks with Kyiv on Tank Factory Construction

The head of the German defense group Rheinmetall, Armin Papperger, has announced promising negotiations with Ukraine regarding the construction of a tank factory, estimating the cost at around 200 million euros.

“With approximately 200 million euros, a Rheinmetall factory can be built in Ukraine,” Papperger stated in an interview with the Rheinische Post, as reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, such a factory could produce up to 400 'Panther' tanks annually. Papperger characterized the negotiations with Kyiv as 'promising,' expressing hope that a conclusion will be reached in the coming two months.
