PHOTOS: Aleppo's Cilician Seminary Damaged by Earthquake in Syria
A devastating earthquake that struck Syria in the early morning has caused significant damage to Armenian-populated neighborhoods and buildings.
The Cilician Seminary in Aleppo has also been damaged as reported by Avó Khoshafyan, the secretary of the Aleppo central committee of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party. This information was conveyed by 24News.
Khoshafyan clarified that the attached images show the neighborhood surrounding the Cilician Seminary.
“The school comprises three parts: kindergarten, secondary school, and preschool. The damaged area seen in the images is the preschool. We were supposed to restart teaching our alphabet under wartime conditions, but this time the earthquake has disrupted it. However, by God’s will, we must continue to teach our alphabet in the Diaspora and promote it,” the Armenian figure added.
