Narishkin Confirms Secret Meeting with CIA Director in Moscow

The Director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Narishkin, has confirmed that he met with CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Moscow. According to Narishkin, the American intelligence chief's visit was related to communications between the special services of the two countries. The details of the negotiations have not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, announced that Ratcliffe's meeting with President Vladimir Putin was not scheduled. Previously, it was reported that Ratcliffe arrived in Moscow aboard a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft. This was his first visit to Russia in his role as CIA director, although he has had interactions with Russian counterparts in the past.

Ratcliffe's visit lasted only a few hours. Prior to his arrival, the American side informed Ukraine about the high-level delegation heading to Moscow and, according to media reports, requested a temporary halt to strikes on Russian territory.
