Tensions in the European Commission: Politico Reports Internal Disagreements
Relations among members of the European Commission remain tense since Ursula von der Leyen's second term began. This is reported by Politico, citing its sources.
An anonymous European official has stated that disagreements will always exist due to the political composition of the Commission. According to him, there have been no "radical changes" in the relationships among Commission members.
According to Politico, the improvement of relationships within the Commission will be discussed at a meeting scheduled for August 28, which will take place in connection with von der Leyen's speech on the state of the European Union.
European media had previously reported multiple times on the existing disagreements within the Commission, particularly highlighting the strained relationship between Ursula von der Leyen and the EU’s foreign policy chief, Kaia Kalas.
