Azerbaijan Again Blocks Only Gas Pipe Entering Artsakh from Armenia
The Azerbaijani side has once again completely blocked the only gas pipeline entering Artsakh from Armenia. This was reported by the Artsakh information headquarters.
Recall that on the morning of December 12, a group of Azerbaijanis in civilian clothes closed the Stepanakert-Goris highway, which connects Artsakh to Armenia, under the pretext of environmental reasons at the Shushi-Karin Tak crossroads. Since December 13, the Azerbaijani side has intermittently shut off gas supplies to Artsakh. Currently, there is no gas in Artsakh.
Furthermore, since January 9, energy supply from Armenia to Artsakh has also been cut off from the areas under Azerbaijani control. The Azerbaijani side does not allow specialists to approach and understand the reasons in order to conduct emergency restoration work if necessary. The electricity supply in Artsakh is being implemented with rolling blackouts. The Lachin corridor remains closed.
