Six Individuals with Serious Illnesses Transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with ICRC Mediation
Due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, six individuals with severe oncological and cardiovascular diseases have been transferred today, February 2, with the mediation and escort of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to specialized medical centers in Armenia. This was reported by the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
Planned surgeries continue to be suspended in medical facilities operating under the Ministry of Health of Artsakh. In the "Arevik" medical center, seven children are currently in neonatal and intensive care units. At the Republican Medical Center, 12 patients are in intensive care, five of whom are in extremely critical condition.
To date, a total of 64 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and escort of the ICRC.
