In the Church, let it be officially recorded that celibacy is removed: Ruben Rubinyan

The Catholicos of All Armenians is not a Catholicos for Ruben Rubinyan, a member of the ruling party (the Civil Contract). “He is not my Catholicos, he is not the Catholicos of All Armenians,” declared the Speaker of the National Assembly.

The ruling party member called for the Supreme Patriarch to step down. “I don’t need the next Catholicos to be pro-government or from the Civil Contract; let it be a person whom everyone will accept as the Catholicos of All Armenians and a person who does not have children, or let them change the rules, officially record that celibacy is removed, and let them have children,” added Rubinyan.
